The SustaInvest Student Management Committee is pleased to announce the commencement of the 2009-10 SustaInvest competition, a portfolio pitch competition focused on maximizing profitability and sustainability in an investment strategy.

The competition calls for students to propose and defend a sustainable investment strategy for a mock $10 million mandate in the Cornell Endowment.

SustaInvest is open to all students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Judging criteria rewards high performance, sustainability-driven investments. Portfolios will be judged for an understanding of the interdependence among business, society and the environment for a competitive advantage.

The SustaInvest Advisory Council, a panel of distinguished professionals, will judge the portfolios. Finalists will pitch their portfolio to the advisory council in Ithaca, NY on April 16th, 2010. Cash prizes are as follows:

First Prize: $1000
Second Prize: $500
Third Prize: $250
